Barack Obama considers himself to be a christian and is very open to that fact. Today when he was talking with other world leaders in Turkey, he made a remark about how the USA is not a christian nation. I can see this angering many religious people here in our country. While Obama’s word is just an opinion, the statistics I’ve seen in the past couple years do indeed have a downward trend in those people who claim to believe in Jesus. The US was founded by christians and it still has a very large religious population. By both a major figure pointing it out along with the fact that it’s happening will make some upset. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to get the word out even more, and not be mad at the fact being raised. Christian t-shirts aren’t going to make this happen, but it might be something that can be used to open up the tough starting dialogue into the subject.
